42RLE in my 2010 Wrangler is shifting like it's got a mind of its own and I'm running out of patience

I swear this JK has been testing my love for the past six months with one thing after another and now the four speed auto is doing this fun new trick where it'll hold onto second gear way too long when I'm just cruising around Al Nahda and then when it finally decides to shift into third it does it with a clunk that makes me wince every single time and my wife has started asking if we can just take her car everywhere instead. I had a buddy with a scanner check for codes and nothing came up so he shrugged and said maybe it's the valve body or the solenoid pack going bad but he's more of a Toyota guy and doesn't really know the Chrysler transmissions that well and the dealer quote I got over the phone for just a diagnostic made me laugh out loud in a sad way. I've been reading through the Wrangler forums and a lot of people say the 42RLE can get finicky when the fluid gets old or if the filter is clogged and sometimes a simple service with the correct ATF+4 fluid and a new filter can bring it back to life but I don't want some random shop dumping generic fluid in there and making it worse. I've been looking around for a place that actually does Jeep Automatic Gearbox Repair Sharjah because I really don't want to drive this thing to Dubai with the transmission acting up and risk getting stranded on the E311 in August. Anyone on here with a JK or a WJ actually had their auto box serviced or repaired in Sharjah by someone who didn't just guess and throw parts at it until the bill matched the value of the entire vehicle.
