Does Windows Update fix USB recognition issues?

Sometimes. Bugs are fixed using windows upgrades that include driver enhancements. To check:

Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows update.
To check the updates, click Check.
Update to any pending install, then restart. In case your problem continues, then you can need manual updates of your drivers.

It is so easy to fix these issues by upgrading a window and other method is used to install a drivers manually with in just some clicks.
