I went to what looked like a decent Dubai 70Ah Amaron Car Battery Shop last week, and the guy tried to hand me a unit that was stamped 14 months old. When I asked for a fresher one, he said "same performance" but I walked out. Ended up finding another shop that had stock from just two months ago, same price. These batteries degrade sitting on a shelf, especially in summer heat. So whatever shop you go to, don't be shy – ask to see the date code on the battery itself before they install it. Learned this lesson the hard way a few years ago with a different brand that died after a year. Hope this saves someone from the same hassle.
