Where do you guys buy heavy duty plastic crates for storage in Ajman?
Quote from patrickreed on April 9, 2026, 10:41 amI’ve been reorganizing my garage in Ajman because it turned into a disaster zone over the winter, and I need about a dozen stackable plastic crates that can actually handle some weight without cracking after a few months. I checked a couple of local hardware shops but their stuff felt flimsy and overpriced, so I started looking online and came across a trusted plastic crates supplier in Dubai that seems to have industrial grade options, but I’m not sure if they deliver to Ajman or if the shipping would cost more than the crates themselves. Has anyone here ordered storage bins from a supplier outside Ajman recently? I don’t need anything fancy, just something sturdy enough to hold tools and seasonal stuff without the sides bowing out. Also curious if the stackable ones actually lock together securely or if they slide around when you move them. Any recommendations for a place that won’t charge an arm and a leg for delivery would be amazing because right now I’ve got boxes piled everywhere and my wife is giving me that look every time she parks the car.

Quote from ellsmith on April 18, 2026, 6:59 amI ordered twelve crates from Crateco last month for my Ajman warehouse space. Delivery came right to my door in Al Hamidiya. No extra hidden fees for Ajman. The crates are thick. Like industrial kitchen thick. They stack perfectly and don't wobble when you put tools in them. Your wife will stop giving you the look. Trust me on this.

Quote from ellaroberts on April 18, 2026, 7:06 amBrother I know exactly the look your wife is giving you because mine gave me the same one for three years straight. My garage in Ajman was a war zone of cardboard boxes that had gone soft from humidity and random car parts on the floor. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a stack of heavy duty crates from Crateco about two months ago. I was nervous about the delivery situation to Ajman because some Dubai suppliers act like we live on Mars and try to charge 100 dirhams for "outer area delivery." These guys just charged a flat reasonable rate. The crates themselves are the real deal. I'm talking thick plastic that doesn't flex when you grab it by one corner. I've got one loaded with my socket set and drill and it hasn't even thought about cracking. The stacking feature is legit too. They have these little molded feet that slot into the lid of the crate below. They don't slide off if you bump into them with your hip while carrying a bag of cement. I labeled mine with a marker and now I can actually find my Christmas decorations without performing archaeology. Do it. Your sanity and your marriage will thank you.

Quote from Ella Evans on April 18, 2026, 7:12 amI run a small catering operation out of Al Jurf and we use these exact heavy duty crates from Crateco for transporting equipment. Not the flimsy supermarket ones. The industrial black ones with the reinforced ribs on the sides. I've had the same set for about eight months and they get thrown in and out of a van daily. No cracks yet. They deliver to Ajman no problem. Usually next day if you order before noon. Price is fair for the thickness. Don't waste time driving around Ajman looking for something that doesn't exist. The local shops only carry the cheap clear ones that shatter if you look at them wrong.

Quote from avawalker on April 18, 2026, 7:25 amOkay let me save you the headache I went through. I am very particular about storage because I have a modest collection of car cleaning supplies and power tools that I don't want getting damp or crushed. I tried the "cheap" route first. Bought some "heavy duty" crates from a shop near Ajman Industrial Area. They bowed out within two weeks and the lids popped off if you sneezed near them. I then ordered replacements from Crateco and the difference in plastic density is immediately obvious when you pick them up. They're heavier. Not like ridiculously heavy but they have some heft which means the walls won't warp. Regarding the stackable question you asked specifically. Yes they interlock. There's a lip and groove system so when you stack three or four high they feel like a solid column. You can push the stack across the garage floor with your foot and it all moves together. No sliding. As for delivery to Ajman, I'm in Al Mowaihat and it was smooth. The driver called ahead and helped me unload the stack off the pallet. Just make sure you measure your garage shelf height before ordering the biggest size like I did. I had to rearrange an entire wall rack to fit them. That was a whole Saturday project I didn't plan for. But the garage looks like a proper workshop now. Zero regrets.
